Good Morning,

One coat of mellow moss is on the walls yeah.. Looks nice so far.The 2nd coat will go today..

Today I have to go out and buy blinds for the kitchen, I also want new curtains for the computer/craft room so I will look for that too. I need to take some measurments before heading out.

While I'm out I will also look for a plastic lawn mower. Not a bubble one I just want a simple little mower looking toy for Brayden when he comes here. Do they even make these anymore????

Have my new glasses on.. Taking a bit of getting used to. I don't think I will drive with them just yet. Hey! I can still see... I will wear them around first. I got the progressive lens and they said it might take up to 2 weeks to get used to them.. I just need to find that right spot to tip my head so I do not get dizzy.
Today's card is using the stamp set Garden Whimsy. (The color seems off abit. )

I used the photo corner punch and white gel pen. Also used the Whimsy jumbo wheel.

Thank everyone who placed a order over the past few days... Your goodies will be here before you know it...

Wish me luck on finding the blinds I want..

Where did June go??

Good Morning Stamping Friends:

June flew right on by, hard to believe that its just about over. Rain ,Rain , Rain when will it ever go away... This morning I'm off to get my eyes tested and get new glasses (Yay) as I know I need them.
Today is the last day of my Special and tomorrow is the last day for the Spring and Summer 2009 Idea book and catalogue.
I didn't have a card ready for this post so I whipped this one up really fast. And by going fast the "n" in soon got a little messed up.. This is a rub on from the set Chit Chat... Lots of nice sayings...
Wish me luck at my eye exam... Then I have a few errands to do. When I get back home I will put the last varnish on the windows... yeah... And tonight Skip will paint the kitchen..

Hello,
Seems like when you start a project your house gets turned upside down. Well the kitchen is anyways. We stripped off the old wallpaper and will be putting the new stuff up today. Then tomorrow hopefully it will get painted.. I took my SU card stock to the store and got my paint done in the Mellow Moss color. I will post a pic when its done.

Today's card is Tilda skating. I had first colored this about a month ago and had sort of put it together and I knew it needed something else and the mojo just wasn't flowing for me , so I posted the question to a my online friends at SC and with some of their suggestions I now have a finished card that I really like..
I tried her on Red. Liked it but missing something...

Moved her over to Bashful Blue.. She is still in need!!
I used liquid applique' and ended up having to use my hair dryer to heat it up!! As I moved it when cleaning and forgot until just this moment of typing where it was! I was going to say that Cody must of took it lol.... I do not recommend using a hairdryer. I thought my fingers were goingto burn up!

And the final card... don'tcha agree much better....
Thanks for stopping by,
Sherry

Happy Saturday!

Good day,

I think every time I spell Saturday for some reason I think of the Bay City Rollers and the song Saturday Night.. I know, I know showing my age here... This band was big in the 70's... And in the song they sound out each letter, S-a-t-u-r-d-a-y night and then repeat, is it coming back to you now?

Today's project is the pillow box. To make these cute little boxes you need the Big Shot and the pillow box die. I have the Big Shot on special right now for $99.95 !

The pillow box is chocolate chip, Soft Suede 1/2" polka-dot ribbon, Santa stamp is from the new level 2 hostess rewards... And I stamped that is old olive. Cute......
If you notice one end looks like its popping out that is because I didnt' seal it yet. I will added a little gift to the box before giving it away...
Today I'm hoping to finish up the varnishing . Skip is hoping to get the lawn mowed and maybe get the outside trim on the house painted..
Later...

Woo Hoo It's Friday....

Good day, are you happy its Friday?

Last night was Tasha graduation, it was all in French so Cody and I really didn't have a clue as to what was going on. But we made it through the night and got to see her smiles at the end...

Today I have a tile coaster instead of a card. Later on I will be having a gift making classes (end of summer early fall) and this will be one of the things to make... I picked up the tiles while I was in Dartmouth..
I just love it and have been using it all the time...

I finally got some strawberries. YUMM...

Catch ya later

Good Morning,

I thought I had it figured out how to post the pattern for the butterfly box. But it only works if your logged into google. I will have to work on that some more later on today. Didn't get a chance yesterday.

I had my clothes on the line yesterday morning, left to go to my neices house for a few minutes. I was there maybe 15 min and the skies just opened up. I thought well so much for my clothes. Did a few other errands, then came home the sky was looking brighter so I thought well I will leave them out and see if they dry. Oh boy did they ever. It turned so hot and muggy out... I'm amazed that I got any sleep just could not get comfortable.

Here is a side view of the butterfly box
that I posted earlier.

Todays card is one I made a while ago using Stampin'UP! punches. Quick and easy card.
The Sesame Street gang...
Cookie Monster and Elmo.. This is such a fun card to make and great for that little person in your life. It can be made into a Birthday card, Invitation what ever occasion you need. Or a just because I love you card...
Just 5 more days counting today to get the specials... Scroll down a few post to see what they are...
Catch you all later...

Butterfly Box.

Good Morning..

Well the skies opened up again yesterday. Then a bit of blue skies came in and the humidex shot up. Boy was it ever muggy and such a heavy air. I think that people complain about the weather no matter what the day is like lol... It's either too cold, too wet,too dry, too hot!!! When we hit that just right day I will let you know..

Well today I do not have a card I have a 3-d item. This little butterfly box is so cute. I'm trying to figure out how to post the template for it. I do not know how.. I tried and just keep getting error. I need to get better at this blogging business.
http://docs.google.com/fileview?id=F.390232f3-5621-4204-95a8-6a469ab2b553
Think I may have figured it out...
I made the base of the box with Bermuda Bay cardstock. The other 2 layered butterflies are cut from the DSP Razzleberry Lemonade. Then I added pearls and hemp twine for the antenas. Its cute gotta love it..

I'm still in my cleaning mode. I did the kitchen and the bathroom yesterday. I'm hoping to be able to keep the windows opened today so I can varnish some more. I will also be tackling the spare room today. I'm going to leave the computer/craft room for last. As once I get in here I will want to play with my stamps lol.. The reward will be house all clean then play away...

Thanks for taking time from your busy day to stop in.
Don't forget that the specials I post below...

Tuesday Morning!

Good Day to you.
I know that the ground needs the rain but I have had enough all ready...
This pic of Brayden makes me smile. Look at his hair and he just had a hair cut a few weeks ago!!

Club orders will be delivered today :)I know that I'm pleased with Stampin' Up! shipping time frame.

When I went to the mail yesterday I got a BIG surprise, on of my online friends sent me 5 different pkgs of Flowersoft, and some stamped images... Thanks Donna... I can't wait to play...

Make sure you check down the page for the SPECIALS! I do not know how to keep that post at the top of the page :( So you will have to scroll down to see... I have already had a few calls...If you call and there is no answer leave a message and I will call you back..
Today's card is using Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set, Versamark and the Fine Supernova glitter (chocolate color). Ribbon white organz. I took this photo a few times trying to get it tipped so you can see the glitter. Maybe a little too much now but you get the idea. And I also stamped the inside . I used the top note sponged chocolate chip around the edges then stamped Happy Birthday...With the Birthday Wish single stamp.

Have a great day off to do some more spring/summer cleaning...

Hello

Hi this is just a short little post. I didn't get a chance to make sure I had a pic to post today. I left yesterday to come to Dartmouth. Last night it poured very hard here. Driving up we hit rain a few times. Skip said it was good driving back to Yarmouth. Hopefully today will be the same.
Tasha and I got quite a bit unpacked and put away before I came over to see Brayden.
Oh my he sure is Gramma's boy... And loves to have his picture taken. Or should I say wants to take pictures.
Tomorrow is the big day make sure you check back to see what it will be....

Happy Friday Morning to You!

Hello, Hello,

I went forth and tried my hand at varnishing. The masking of the windows took longer than the varnishing. I think I did a pretty good job. I did 2 windows. Might tackle another one today not sure if its in my plan or not. The varnish gave me a major headache.

Today's card is featuring the stamp set 'Boatloads of Love' which is on the LAST CHANCE LIST. I also used Loads of Love accessories and Family Phrases. Colored it all with markers and added some dazzling diamond glitter. I'm not pleased with the way the dogs came out. I think I made them too dark.

Last night I wanted to watch the new tv show the Listener. Missed the 8 o'clock telecast next time was 11 so I started watching next thing I know its 12:30 I dozed off and missed the show..

Thanks for stopping in.

PS... Still trying to figure out the comment box. If you do want to make a comment and it's not working for you fire me off an email.

Have a good one!

Country Living Summer...

Drop me an email if you would like to order this kit for your upcoming summer events...
Hello,

I'm not sure why it is so hard to make a comment. Seem like it does not go smoothly at all. From what I can figure out you need (for my blog anyways) to make your comment hit submit the the letter/number combo comes up type them in. THEN the post does not go but it stays there you need to hit submit and the letter/number combo again.. I'm really sorry this is not working as I would like to see comments and I know its frustrating to comment then not go through. I will try and see if there is something else that I can do this requires some research. If your still having trouble email me so I know - Thanks...

What another beautiful sunny day today....

The windows are all in and Brian is all finished with his work here... Now the rest is up to us. Hmm, I may and try my hand at varnishing today. Notice I said may lol...

Not for todays card.....

TA DA.....
God's Beauty is a retiring hostess set. Love it... Butterflies seem to be the in thing , everywhere you look something has a butterfly on it.
Back to the card. I stamped the flower in Rich Razzleberry, and sponged the edges in it too. The butterfly is stamped with black stazon. Colored with Dusty Durango adn Crushed Curry markers. Layed the top note on black added a splash of pumpkin pie ribbon. Stamped Happy Retirement in Dusty Durango and this is from the new set Teeny Tiny Wishes. Punched out with the word window punch.
Thanks for visiting!!

Tuesday Morning

Good Day,

Our meeting last night was cancelled. But I still have a card to show.

I opened up my meIlon mambo ink pad yesterday and it has a fruity Kool-Aid smell..

I spilled coffee on the keyboard last night what a mess. It was working fine I went to watch TV and when I came back to use the computer no such luck. Then I remember Cody had a keyboard so I went and got that one, figured it out hooked it up then the mouse wouldn't work so there I go again moving everything. Get the mouse working put the monitor back in its postion and the internet has come unhooked. GRRR... So back again I go . Finally its done and as you can see this morning I have it working. I was use to that keyboard. This one feel strange to me...
Today's card is using the Eight Great Greetings. For your shower. This could be used for wedding, baby etc... Used the Riding Hood Red paper and ink I'm sad to see this color leave it's such a nice red...
I have a bunch of errands to run...
Hope you all have a nice day..

Monday, Monday....

Good Morning Stampers.

Yesterday was the dreaded day , no more kids living at home :( Cody took alot of his stuff he will be back next weekend to get the rest. He also took Skip's truck so he could move his tool box and tools to his new place of work. Friday night was Cody's last shift at the SuperStore he worked there for 4 years. Hopefully he will be employed with this company for a long time also. As for me I cried just about all day :(

Not sure what I will do when next weekend comes, maybe I will be all cried out by then. I'm really proud of Cody and happy that he is moving on as every young adult needs to. But its still hard...

Today's card is using the Three Little Words stamp set. And a little glitter .... Urban Oasis DSP that will soom be leaving the catalogue. Yesterday I looked over the new catty a few times. I keep seeing new things... I will have it worn out before I can even order from it lol...
Brian is back working on the windows and door, this week. Skip is going to try and get the framing around the windows varnished this week.
Tonight is our local demo meeting... I will have swap goodies to share with you tomorrow...
Hope you all had a good weekend.
Sherry.

Today is Tasha's Prom. Picture taking starts at 2. It will be nice to see Cody in a tux. Such a change from his old baggy jeans... And I know Tasha is going to look beautiful...

Hump Day!

When I first heard the term Hump Day I thought Skip was making it up. Then I started hearing it all over the place. Not sure why I never picked up on it before.

Today's card involved no stamping... its a grad card for Cody. I know that he will not be checking my blog lol..

Tonight is his convocation, and the softy sap that I am I will be crying... And the rest of the week will only be the same. Saturday is Tasha's prom, seeing Cody and Tasha all dressed up will bring tears to my eyes. Then you know Sunday he is leaving.. But he has to come back the next weekend to get his stuff. Think I can hold his belongings hostage?? Then once his stuff is in the apt. it will be real!
Oh my goodness thought I lost my post there for a second... phew its still here...

Happy Birthday...

Good Monday Morning,

Yesterday turned out to be a nice day. I sure didn't' think it would ,that fog was SO thick in the morning.

I'm just about ready for club tonight just need to finish up a few things. I think my display board has all new cards on it.

Today Brian will start on our new windows :) I have to go out and take a before picture of the house. Then take an after shot when he is done.

:( this is Cody's last week at home. He will be moving to Bedford. Next week he will be staying with his sister in Dartmouth. Then the following weekend he will move his and Tasha's belongings. Guess this will just mean more trips to see our kids...I didn't think it would bother me that much. But I'm starting to think I'm wrong...

Moving right along lol....

Today card is a birthday card I made the other day.. Can you see the frosting? Looks yummy!! I used Liquid Applique, then gave it a blast of heat with the embossing gun. Stamp set is Crazy for Cupcakes, Parisian Breeze DSP. 5/8" grosgrain Chocolate chip ribbon and vintage brads.

Have a great day..

Good Morning Stampers

Good day,
Here is another card from the Animal Crackers set. And it the little duck again. This time I stamped him twice so I could pop him up.. And I used the Rockabilly Designer Paper, along with the Eyelet Border Punch.
Yesterday the dog thought he should roll around in some grease!! What a mess. I did however manage to get it all off of him before I would let him in the house.
Skip worked all day and evening on his truck. He thought it would be a small and simple job NOT! And to top off his day he dropped a wrench on his eye and is now sporting a swollen back eye OUCH. If that had been me I would still be crying.. Think he will let me take a picture so I can scrapbook it... I will have to try...
Have a great day..

Good Day,

Wow here we are Friday again where did the week go? Last night a bunch of girls got together and did a shoe box swap, it was way fun we will be doing it again someday...

Here are the card we made...
The bikini card is mine, Danna came up with the cute little birthday card.
Alice and Nanette are the creators of these 2.
Helene and Alvina planned out these amazing cards.
I think all the girls did a fantastic job...
I love them ALL....
Ok this just in from Stampin'Up. Demo can talk about and show on the internet the preview items . So the blogs you have seen with new stuff is ok. No rule breakers!!! What you cannot do is show anything from the catalogue that was not in the Demo preview.. Glad they cleared this up, as there seemed to be alot of confusion and misunderstandings.
Have a good weekend..

Woo Hooo...

Good Morning....

I just got an email from Stampin'Up! and my order has been shipped.... That was really fast since it said that shipping was 4-5 days... Mind you I'm not complaining one bit.

I posted a dress card earlier. Well I made some more. They are adorable and easy to make. So many accessories that you could add. So far I think my favorite one is the embossed rose overlay. You will probably see more of these from me later on.
I have been looking at paint swatches to paint the exterior of our house. We have a color in mind but to find the one we like from the samples is a little difficult. I picked up a different brand name of swatches last night, I just don't know. Might have to pin them up and throw a dart lol... Skip, Cody and I are all in the same family of colors its just to narrow it down.
Thanks for stopping by
