I had a great short coffee visit with my Girlfriend. Then it was on to see the grandkids... Oh Brayden was so excited. Brooklynn is too small yet to get excited about Gramma coming.

We did a little shopping at the store that has crafts... Tiffany and Amanda want to try their hand at cake making with Fondant. I will take pictures of their creation....

I can't believe that I made a card and left it home grrrr. It was to go with a baby gift.

Speaking of baby gifts my card today is a baby card...

This is Baby Bear and it comes in a set of 4. Designer Series Paper Nursery Suite (hmm was that the name? I will have to find a catalogue here and look it up)

Today I told Brayden we would do something special. He say going to see my Buddy? I sad no and he got a sad look on his face :(.  There is a Mother Goose event going on for kids in Dartmouth that is what I meant. Then he thought it was the zoo. Just hope he is happy with what we do, I'm sure that he will be I know he just misses Buddy!

Today I'm going to Tiffany's I'm missing Brayden and Brooklynn. So Gramma has to go and see them :) .
Before I see them I'm going to stop and have coffee with a girlfriend first.

I'm hitting the road as early as I can well close to 9 as I can I have to go to the store first Tiff wants me to pick something up for her.

Christmas in July event...

Hello,
Christmas in July Event went great I will be doing it again next year that is for sure.. And I have pic to show didn't take any of the guest though...
During the evening I had 2 young stampers 10 and 7 they did great jobs on the cards they made, I think their Mom has future crafters on her hands...

Good Morning,
The fireworks went off last night. They were awesome. I just sat on the back deck and watched them. No wind which made them go high in the sky.
I've been working on my Christmas in July event so much now I'm dreaming about it! Came up with a card in my dream going to try it out later....
Don't you suppose today when I need to use my printer it has decided to act up.. Can't see to copy keeps saying it's busy... grr.. IF I unplug it for a few minutes it will then work 2-3 times then say the same thing... WARMING UP! But that is as far as it goes...
Must be really cold lol..

The sun is shining the skies are blue. Laundry is all caught up. Probably if I look hard enough I could find something to wash, lol..
Brayden was excited when Grandpa showed up at his house. But since Grandpa had a friend with him Brayden was very shy around Shane.
Buddy and I had a good sleep last night. No storms woohoo...

My share today is an altered item. I bought these little composition books at the local $store. When making this one up I was trying to figure out just what to do. With summer travel all around us this seemed to fit the bill. Good to keep your vacation notes in.

Island Oasis Designer Series Paper from the summer mini. Peach Parfait cardstock, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White. Stamp set is a level 1 hostess set, from the summer mini. I put the Pear Pizzazz on the back cover just to complete the look.

 I've been cruise Demo sites looking for updates and announcements from the Stampin'Up! Convention that is going on in Utah. Wish I was there :( Oh maybe some year I will go!

What a Storm !!

Good Morning Stampers,
We had a serve thunderstorm last night. Oh my it went on and on for about 3 hours or so. Buddy was besides himself. Pacing and Panting, poor thing! Finally it ended and I was able to get to sleep around 3am. The storm reminded me of a strobe light.
I checked the weather and it looks like Skip will have  the storm all the way to Halifax! Hopefully it stops as he is there for an Inwater Boat Show on the waterfront. They have to set up later this afternoon.
 My share today is a new stamp set I just got its called Just Believe # 116948w #120453c set of 9.

Designer Series Paper is Newsprint # 117166 $12.50.

Peach Parfait cardstock along with a Whisper White Top Note cut out with the Big Shot. 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon # 119959 Earlly Espresso $ 8.25 for 10 yards.

I used the sponge dauber around the edges to give a vintage look.

Oh just to clarify the Christmas in July event is come and make as many or little cards as you like. Look at new products, maybe shop. The times to come by are either 2-4 pm or 6:30-8:30 pm Monday the 26th. Which ever time is the best for you to come.

Builder a Wheel!

Hello,
Yesterday I went went out to the lighthouse with my cousin and her daughter. There were a few people milling about.
I've had questions about the builder wheel so I ordered it to show how it works. You do not need to have all 3 wheels to make it work.
To get started  you'll need  the Stampin'Around Jumbo Wheel Handle # 103661 $7.95.
Stampin'Around Builder Wheel Spindle and Spacers # 119895 $5.50.
And what ever wheel you like. Today I have the Birthday (builder) # 118619 $5.95.

Now you will need to put it together. I first put the rubber wheel on one end do not do this! You do not get a good pressure on the wheel.  So slide on the spacer first.

Next slide on your wheel.

The next step will be to add your second spacer.

Now add the end cap piece.

Put this into your Jumbo wheel handle.

I did not buy the uninked cartridge. I then inked up my wheel on a Rich Razzleberry classic ink pad.

As you can see by the time it gets around to the beginning your ink is starting to fade. This is where your cartridge would come in handy. The Whisper White piece I put this on is 12x12. Just to have the Happy Birthday you need a piece that is 7 1/2" in length. The first H in Happy did come up just missed in the picture taking...

I have laundry to do and to pack Skip's clothing he is going away for work starting tomorrow and will be back Sunday. He also needs a few things from the store which I must run over and get...
