Good Morning Stampers,

Not sure about where you live but it's HOT here. Yesterday the temp was 32c . Tiffany's house is like an oven, we are cooking here. I'm also keeping an eye on Hurricane Earl.

At the zoo I tried to stay in the shade as much as possible. Brayden skipped a few animals and that was ok with me.

Today we are going to Truro to shop then back home to make a few cards...

Today I have another guest stamper... No not Brayden lol.. It's Mom she made this card for Skip and I.

Going to see the Animals....

  Today I'm taking Brayden back home. But first we are going to the Oakland Farm Zoo. I told him we are going and he is SO excited. We spent the weekend doing fun things with Brayden: fire in the firepit, lighthouse, dinner out, timbits, and just playing with Uncle Cody and Tasha who came for a visit.
Speaking of the zoo, Brayden is my guest stamper today :) He stamped this card for Grandpa, he said it would make Grandpa "too Happy". As you probably can tell Brayden likes to say that alot. And that was enough for him...

Good Afternoon.
 What a busy morning we had. Hair cut, bank, then off to get an upgrade on my cell phone. The phone place was so busy we were there for about 1.5 hours, Brayden was a VERY good buy.
No card share today :( But I have a pic of Brayden lol..
We are going for a walk later. Tonight we are going to have a fire in the firepit and roast marshmallows. Should be fun...

Good Morning Stampers,
It's a foggy wet morning here. The weather is suppose to improve for the weekend lets hope. I would like to take Brayden to the beach.
This morning Buddy was determined to get into Braydens room. Buddy kept head butting the door until he got it opened. And of course shortly after that Brayden woke up. I think a nap may be in order for us today.
My share today is a card I made for Skip for our 26th Anniversary yesterday. I used the simply scrappin' kit Love birds, On board Mix and Match chipboard.(page 185) Certainly Celery Card stock .

I see a couple of spots that I missed when I  sanded the chipboard.
I'm thinking that when my color is off it must be the lightbulbs that I have. As the color is not always off on my pic.
Not sure what Brayden and I are going to do today. Maybe go looking for new sneakers and rubber boots..

Love Birds Simply Scrappin'

Good Morning,
Today Brayden wants to see animals.. So I'm going to take him to look at some horses and find some cows.  Brayden got to pick beans and a cucumber yesterday here I have him picking beans.

As Brayden would say "me too happy".

When we got back to Gramma's we picked blackberries in the back yard . Brayden was picking and stuffing them in his mouth lol..

We arrived back in Nova Scotia Saturday around noon. Waiting at the airport was Cody, Tasha and Brayden with a sign saying welcome home Gramma and Grandpa. Will post pictures later. It  was too cute..

Good Day Stampers,

This is our final day here in Ottawa. We will be going out shortly . We are going to a place called Merrickville. From what I read on the internet looks like a small quaint town. Can't wait to go.

Do you watch Big Brother? Last night was a very funny show.

Karla and I did most of the laughing. Craig and Skip not so much!

I checked out flight this morning and good thing I did as I had in my head that I needed to be at the airport at 10, hmm ya if I did that I would of missed the flight by 45 minutes oops. So We need to be a the airport by 7:30am. Flight leaves at 9:15. I think what was messing me up is the time change. 

My share today is A little Bit of Magic. This little fariy is too cute. For the pixie dust I used the glass glitter. Oh my a week away from my stampin supplies and I'm forgetting the names of things.

That is not good lol.

Time it Flying....

Good Morning Stamping Friends,
Our time here if Ottawa is flying by.. Yesterday we spend a busy day. Skip and I went to Hogs Back Falls and walked around . Then we did a bit of shopping for about and hour. Then on to Skip's Brother Joe's to meet up with him. We went to 3 different hobby stores, But our highlight of the day was we went to the Rideau Carlton Slots... No we didn't gamble.. We went to the buffet OH my the FOOD!... Signe sister in law meet us there. As I was in line to get my food 2 grown and I stress grown women got into a verbal fight. From what I can gather one thougth the other had butt in line and was upset and said she needed to grow up and get manners... and it continued on and on! I just wanted my food, they were in front of me.
After our meal and being stuffed, we went out outside where a huge antique, tuner car show was taking place and motorcycles. Our guess was about 2-300 cars,300 bikes. And thousands of people. It was a gorgeous evening for it.  Brayden would of LOVED it...
When we left there we stopped and picked up our neice Erin and continued on to see our other neice Kayla as she wanted us to come see her place.
There now that I have bored you with our day. I have to say I have no pic today. I will try to get one on of the falls tonight to show you. Not my computer so I'm not going to mess too much with it..
Skip and I are planning what to do today... So far we have no idea, its calling for rain late this afternoon early evening.
Anyhow...

Good Morning,

We are up and out again very soon. Seems like our time is flying by very fast.  Yesterday we went downtown and walked around. Today the only set plans at the moment is to meet up with Skip's brother around noon and then to a car show this evening. If I can remember how to get to Hog's Back Falls we will go there either this morning or tomorrow.

My card share today was going to come with me but it sits at home lol..

Not sure if it's the color on this computer or the pic but to  me it looks like a blue tinge again. Notice the shape around the giraffe? That's a new punch coming in September.. There are 3 new ones on their way. I love punches.

Day 3

Good Morning Stampers,

We had a beautiful day here, it was 29c yesterday. I'm sure higher in some spots and a nice breeze was blowing.

Today Skip and I are going to take the bus downtown. Wish us luck we are doing it on our own. Karla has to work the next 3 days. I'm sure we will be fine as long as we get off at the right stop!

I went to a stamp store Oh my what stuff I could of spent alot more time looking but I felt like I was boring Skip, and Karla. She looked and bought but I like to look and look. And of course BUY too.

Good Morning Stamping Friends,

We had a Rainy Sunday, and turned it into a lazy day. The rain let up a bit in the afternoon and we managed to get out and do a bit of shopping. Which mades me sad as there are lots I see to buy just won't fit in my suitcase.

My share today is a card I made for August's Sketch of the month that I hand out to the Monday Night Scrappers. Here I used the Bugs and Kisses set. Great for little boys. Pacific Point and So Saffron cardstock. The ribbon is very vanilla but does not look vanilla to me.

Today Karla has an appoinment, then we are going to Giant Tiger and who knows where else. The only thing I have bought so far is 2 pkgs of stickers for Brayden lol.

Day 2 in Ottawa

Good Morning Stampers,

We spent yesterday shopping, napping and watching TV. How restfull is that? Not sure what we are doing today is the weather has a different plan for us. Thunder, Rain and that good (good?) stuff.

My Holiday Mini preorder arrive before we left and I had time to make a card or two very quickly.

So here is a sneak peek of one of the single stamps

 coming in September. The Designer Series Paper is BEAUTIFUL. I really didn't want to cut into it. I can see this flying off the shelves.

I really would like to know why some of my pictures have a blue tinge to them. Do you know?

Ottawa

Good Afternoon,
Skip and I were up around 4:30 this morning. Picked up Cody about 5 :30 and headed to the airport. Cody took our car back to his house. Checked our luggage, went to the securtiy check in and wait... I need to be checked. Stand this way with your arms out, run around with your arms out. Do a drug test on the bag that has my medication! Finally we could go through. Got a coffee and waited for a about 15-20 to board. Then away we go...
Hmm the flight went very fast I must of feel asleep as I'm looking at land wondering where we are and then the pilot announced we are starting to desend into Ottawa.. Karla and Craig were there to pick us up. Karla is my sister, Craig brother in law.
Then it was nap time by all..
Not sure what is up for the rest of the day going to have lunch soon..

Faux Tile

Good Morning,
We are just about all packed. Ottawa bound YAY!!!
Today will consist of doing last minute things. And preparing my blog pic while I'm gone.
I just looked at the Ottawa weather and yuck it's giving rain for Sunday. Hopefully it will change as we have plans for that day.

I made this card yesterday and love the faux tile effect.

Early Espresso and Very Vanilla card stock.

Just Believe stamp set comes in wood or clear mount.

1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Early Espresso and Very Vanilla.

Lg. Scallop cirlce punch and 1 3/4" circle punch.
I probably won't have a post for tomorrow but will check in some point during the day.

Buzzing By

Good Morning,
I'm moving slow this morning. But I really need to get going. Made a list last night now to check off the list and pack everything. I'm starting to get excited :)
Dinner last night was great so nice catching up with my Aunt Penny.
Now unto todays card.

 This is another set that I have not used in awhile and needed to show it some Love!
Whisper White 8 1/2"x 5 1/2" card base score at 4 1/4".
Using the Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder # 117335 $10.95. I embossed the front of my card base.

Pumpkin Pie is 3x 4 1/4 then I layed Island Oasis Designer Series Paper that is 2 3/4"x 4". Before layering I sponged Pumpkin Pie Classic ink around all edges. Island Oasis is leaving the end of the August!
Whisper White is 3 3/4"x 1 3/4" stamped with the bees from Just Buzzin By. This is layed on Pumpkin Pie 2"x 4 1/4" Again I sponged the edges with Pumpkin Pie. Added bling and chocolat chip ribbon and some Dazzling Diamond Glitter..LOVE IT!

The sun is shining and you know what that means the laundry is calling. For just Skip and I seems like we have lots of laundry!

Just Believe 2

Good Morning Stampers,
Little bit of thunder during the night, just enough to upset Buddy. Of course that means I have to get up and soothe him. I was only up for about 45 min this time.
I went to get into my car yesterday and was greeted with a horrible stench!! Fishy smell. Oh no I thought, the fish we bought the other day must of leaked on my reusable bags. So I got out went and looked in the back. No leaks there was the FISH it had been there for 2 days YUCK. with the heat yesterday oh my. Needless to say I drove with the windows all opened.
When putting the grocerys away both Skip and I did it so that is how the bag was missed.
My card share today is a the same as yesterdays just in different colors. What color combo do you like best. Monday Scrappers were split in what they liked.

Card stock. Basic Black, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler and Basic Grey.

My share today is my take on a fellow demos card Laura Jaroscak. I loved her card and knew I had to make it.

Good Morning Stampers,

Yesterday we went back across the Dartmouth Ferry to Halifax and went to the Maritime Muesum of the Atlantic, and there we meet up with my Uncle, cousin and her kids, they are from Maryland. Cody and Tasha also came out. Ohh and Tasha and I took Brayden on the HMC (think this is the name) Acadia. Gramma didn't really like it too much...

Here is another Baby card.. Hmm wonder what is up with that! Here I used the jumbo wheel . Oh my gosh my mind as a brain freeze I cannot think of the name. I will get it to you sorry. I didn't add a sentiment yet wasn't sure just what I wanted to put.

I'm not  sure if I will get on to post the next 2 days. I will try my best.

Baby Bear...

Good Morning Stampers,

Yesterday was a beautiful day... And to occupy my time we went shopping in the morning, afternoon we went to a Mother Goose event (Very Busy) then we took the Ferry over to Halifax. Brayden thinks that he is a big boy and has to show Gramma what to do :) Then we walked around the waterfront looked at the boats, people watched and just had fun.  26c out boy were we hot!!

Today Tiffany and Amanda and I are going shopping at noon (a used stamp sale) then later in the afternoon we are having a BBQ with family coming over...

My card share is one that was suppose to be here to give away and yes you guessed it. It's sitting at home on my desk grrr. I will have to give the gift and mail the card..
